Regenerative Farming
Agreeable Nature
Our Regenerative Agriculture Farming System
After many years as organic farmers, sustainable farmers, biological farmers, beyond organic farmers, nutrient dense food producers, we still felt something was missing.
We didn’t want to sustain our farm as it was, we wanted to regenerate it and improve it. The sustainable label felt inadequate for the vision we had for our farm.
Then to our pleasure we discovered there was a movement in regenerative agriculture, focused on everything we were interested in.
Regenerative farming practices are what we are all about, we are focused on improving our soil and the health of our animals, plants, soils, biology in the soils, and thereby creating nutrient dense food and ultimately improving the health of our species and planet.
Regenerative agriculture is about diversity, diversity of species on the farm, animals, insects, grasses, biology (microbes) in the soil. The interrelated, overlapping systems of such diversity work together to strengthen each species, and system.
Working with nature, allowing grasses to behave as they have evolved over the years, allowing animals to behave in a nature way, allowing microbes in the soil to flourish, doing their jobs as intended. All working together to sequence carbon, build soil structure, cycle nutrients, balance systems and produce complete nutrient dense food for each other and ourselves.
