Agreeable nature
ABOUT OUR FARM
We live on our family farm in rolling country of South Otago. We farm diversely with 450 dairy cows, sheep, beef, bees, 6500 pasture free range hens, and all the microbial life in our soil. We are regenerative farmers, focused on working with nature to product nutrient dense food. Our beyond sustainable practices see diversity in microbes, plants, animals, and business enterprise. We observe and learn with nature.
Naming our Brand
When it came time to choose a brand name, it turned out to be very simple. The question we always ask when making farming decisions is “Does nature agree?” The answer is YES nature does agree with Pasture Free Range Eggs, so we flipped the words becoming ‘Agreeable Nature Pastured Free Range Eggs’.

The Agreeable Nature Philosophy
Truly Free Range
Our Motivation
With the arrival of our four children we started to truly feel the responsibility of feeding the next generation. Quality, nutrient dense, real, whole unadulterated food became the focus for the family.
After making the deeper connection with food, the ethical responsibility of being a farmer meant so much more. Farmers as food producers are trusted to feed and nourish the human species to sustain optimal health.
It is impossible to separate human health, from animal health, plant health, soil health, microbial health, as they are all connected.
We discovered the food we ate on our farm, eggs, honey, milk, meat, vegetables, and fruit was very different to how other people were eating.
What we considered ‘ordinary’ was ‘Extraordinary’ for others, this got us thinking about sharing some of what we had… and so the egg farm was born.
